Испания отглежда най- много добитък в ЕС, сочат последните данни на Европейската статистическа агенция Eurostat.
Испания отглежда 24% от свинете в Европейския съюз, следвана от Германия- 17% и Франция и Дания с по 9%. На Испания се падат и 25% от овцете, следвана от Румъния със 17%.
По брой на домашни кози Гърция заема първото място с 25%, следвана от Испания с 23%. А по популация на едър рогат добитък (говеда) Испания е на трето място с 9% след Франция- 23% и Германия- 15%.
В края на 2021 г. на територията на Европейския съюз са се отглеждали 142 млн. свине, 76 млн. говеда, 60 млн. овце и 11 млн. кози.
